I was elected to the Board for Middlesex County for 2010 and 2014.
My wife, Suzanne and I have been residents of Middlesex County since 2005. We have one married daughter and two grandchildren. As a proud grandparent, I have an intense interest in the type of education my grandchildren and their peers will receive.
I am a graduate of the three-year Business Administration program at Fanshawe College and received my certification as an Occupational/Physiotherapist Assistant from Humber College.
As a ballroom dancing instructor I have also taught wheelchair ballroom dancing since 1997. My teaching experience has made me aware of the responsibility teachers have to students.
I have been involved in the community through working with the “Home At Last” program through the V.O.N. This program returns patients from the hospital to their homes and makes certain that their home has safety hazards removed and a proper support system is in place for them.
One of the committees that I have been especially active on is the Accessibility Advisory Subcommittee for the City of London. Following four years with this committee I have been a regular member of the AODA Advisory Committee for TVDSB. On this committee, I am able to work with a group of people who are devoted to making our schools safer through renovations and making certain that new schools are accessible for all students.
I have a strong interest in working for the educational good of all school age children and their families and want to ensure that children with special needs are strongly represented along with all the others.
